Raylan was diagnosed when he was 18 months old with a stage 4 cancerous brain tumor called Medulloblastoma. He stayed for 3 weeks in the ICU and had brain surgery to relieve pressure on his brain and a week later the tumor was removed. Raylan underwent 1 year of chemotherapy on a St. Jude's Clinical Trial.  Raylan has been in remission for 4 years. He continues to wage the war against the side effects of chemo that have left him with hearing impairment, balance issues, and cognitive delays.
 

He is starting first grade and enjoys playing with his friends and little brother. Raylan wears hearing aids due to hearing loss from chemo. He also has neuropathy in his legs. Raylan wants to be a Dr. when he grows up so he can "help sick kids". 

We support groups with a mission to help find new and better treatments for children and those that provide comfort to kids in the midst of their battles.
